2026 AIA Chattanooga Design Award Winners

Jury Comments:

Nearly half of this year’s submissions were major renovations—a powerful reflection of Chattanooga's commitment to sustainability and the creative reuse of its built environment. These projects don’t just preserve the past—they transform it into something new and inspiring.

Across the board, the quality of submissions was exceptional, with many teams pushing the boundaries of design excellence and innovation.

This year’s Honors Awards stood out not only for the work itself, but for the clarity and impact of the presentations—each one thoughtfully crafted to tell the story behind the project and bring its design vision to life.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to see how AIA Chattanooga continues to build on this momentum. These awards are more than recognition—they are a benchmark, showcasing what’s possible and inspiring our community to reach even greater heights of design excellence.
