CANSTRUCTION and unCANventional Ball–Feb. 18, 2012

Join us at Warehouse Row on Feb. 18 to celebrate CANstruction! From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., six teams of middle-school students mentored by architects and engineers will build inventive structures with an "AmeriCAN" theme. You're welcome to stop by and observe. The structures will remain up for viewing for a week. All food in the structures will then be packed up and taken to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.

At 7 p.m., also at Warehouse Row, we'll have our annual unCANventional Ball--with a Mardi Gras flavor this year. Join us for Hurricanes and great food by Events with Taste, music by Flux308, and viewing of the CANstruction structures. Admission includes signature drink, wine, beer, and food. And all ticket proceeds go to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank!

GOLF TOURNAMENT

Our annual golf tournament, usually held in October, raises funds for endowed architecture scholarships for Hamilton County students at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and at the Rural Studio at Auburn University. Our 2011 event raised $8000 for these funds! Now going on its 19th year, this event has helped many local students pursue professional careers in architecture--some of our current members were scholarship recipients.
